Honoring our seniors

Meet our senors:
Top Row: Caitlin Evett, Ali Payne, Lexi Wayman, Jen Richins.
Bottom Row: Kaylynn Street, Katie Bowdidge, Shelbi Tyteca, Kalli Randall.
This fantastic group of girls will be playing on their home field for the last time today against Weber. We want to wish them luck with their softball futures and college careers. We (Viewmont Coaches) want to thank them for the fun times and the frustrations. We have all grown and we have learned to appreciate each other through the good and the bad. We believe the best is yet to come and look forward to more memories with all of you. It will be hard to say goodbye.
This group of girls has been bonded by many years of softball together. Several of these girls began playing softball with "Blue Crush" in the 14 and under classification. They have had several years to figure out how to work together and to realize that they are truely a team. We often hear the comment "they don't like each other do they". They are a fun group of girls who truely love each others company on and off the field.
Come on out today and support this awesome group of kids. Best of luck to the team. A win today may possibly put the Vikings in Second place and placing us in a better position for playoffs.
Good luck Vikes!

Wishing for warm weather.

A couple of tough losses.

What a week!

This schedule this season has been interesting. Most of our home games were played the first part of the season and all of the rainouts left us with two tough games this week. On Wednesday, the Vikes traveled to Freemont and on Thursday we traveled to Syracuse.

Both teams are always tough. Freemont came out on top with a score of 5 - 2. Syracuse "lucked out" after 8 innings and scored the winnng run to beat us 3 - 2.

This ties us with Freemont for second place in region 1 and may have an affect on state playoffs, placing us either 2nd or 3rd. We still have two games next week. We are at Northridge on Tuesday and home against Weber on Thursday.

Come to our last home game and help us honor our seniors as they play on our home field for the last time.
