Shelbi sets a new record.

You guessed it....Shelbi set a new state record for most strike outs in an extra inning game. She struck out 22 batters against Syracuse on Monday. Congratulations Shelbi.

Today the Lady Vikes are playing a make-up game against Weber. It will be a fun game to watch so come on out to the game. Our defense has been great and fun to watch. You will most likely see some diving catches from our short-stop, Jen Richins as well as the best pitching in the state.

We also had some great wins this week.

We beat Layton 16 - 1 in the bottom of the 4th inning and got Davis on Thursday 8 - 3

Good luck today Vikes.

Is it a record?

Syracuse 1....Viewmont 0

What a game! Unfortunately, Suracuse came out on top of this one. Shelbi Tyteca had 23 strikeouts in 11 innings. Amazing! We had some great defensive plays which kept the crowd engaged the entire game. Jen Richins had a great diving catch at shortstop, something she has done quite often and something we are beginning to expect from her.

Shelbi Tyteca was the player of the game.

Check back for updates: We may have some marks in the record books on this one.

Great win against Northridge

We got another win yesterday against Northridge. The girls did a great job! Viewmont 8, Northridge 0. Players of the game were: Shelbi Tyteca and Jen Richins. Shelbi did a great job on the mound and had some great hits. Jen made a great play at shortstop to keep Northridge from scoring. Our goal for the game was to keep Northridge scoreless. Great job Vikes!
